Directed by classical mandolinist, and educator, Chris Acquavella, the SDCMC will explore the depth and breadth of the classical mandolin, from baroque to modern times, through 5 days of intensive classes, rehearsals, and concerts. SDCMC is very excited to have the talented Italian virtuoso, Fabio Gallucci, as the SDCMC special guest artist from Europe. Also joining the SDCMC artist staff this year is Ger Mandolin Orchestra member Tim Connell and the superb German mandolinist and musicologist, Dr. Stefanie Rauch. Once again, members from the wonderful Bach Collegium San Diego will be joining us for a special concert. The 2014 SDCMC will take place from July 14th – 20th at the beautiful Crowne Plaza San Diego.
